3x1000 at Oak Ridge TN, March 6th

ORSA,Oak Ridge Sportsman Assc. ) in Oak Ridge Tennessee is holding a 3x1000 match, Sunday, March 6th at 11am EST. Regitrastion is 10am EST. Cost to shoot will be either $20 or $25. Not sure, as it's the first match of the year.

The range is about 20 miles west of Knoxville if you're unfamiliar with the area. These matches are an outstanding opportunity to test, and get a feel for NRA prone or long range F class.

For those on the line about going, weather at Oak Ridge tomorrow is going to be high of 60. Temp at match start will be 50, at finish it'll be 57 or so. Wind under 10MPH from WSW. Sunny all day. ORSA doesn't get any better than this!

Directions to the Oak Ridge Range:

Take I-40 to exit 356. Exit and head north toward Oak Ridge and go strait, following the Oak Ridge signs. The speed limit will drop when you enter Oak Ridge proper. The range is on the right, just past Gum Hollow road. 11 miles from I-40. If you hit the traffic light at Nebraska Ave., you have just driven past the range entrence.

Here are the results for the 3x1000 Sunday. Weather was beautiful, wind was alright by ORSA standards. All in all, a great day to be on the range.
