Its a common industry practise to heat treat differently if its for a lower pressure round. Just because they make 1 in 243 doesnt mean the 357 is the same. Email henry and ask?Single Shot Rifle.223 Rem/5.56, .243 Win, .308 Win, .44 Mag/Spl, .45-70 Gov't, .30-30, .357 Mag/.38 Spl
They offer it in full size rifle cartridges, so the maximum should be just what the doctor ordered
Not to mention the proofing. I bet a 357mag proof still isnt equal to a 357max. It would be good if it was proofed to a max, but a 243 isnt proofed the same as a 7mm ultramag even though they may be made in the same modelIts a common industry practise to heat treat differently if its for a lower pressure round.
