38 cal. wadcutter

carl1575

I am still in the car business after 53 years
I just bought a colt 1911 38 special that was built by one of the big name pistol builders of the 60 through the 80 Guiles in Fla. I went through my handloader index and Ken Waters had a 38 wadcutter story,Handloader no. 63 page 30 on the wadcutter. my question is dose any one have any of those bullets. Carl in Yakina

I don't have that magazine but I do have some swaged lead wadcutters. Some of them are hollow based and the others are solid. Which ones are you looking for?

carl1575: Another recommendation for the Zero 38 wadcutter bullets. I was a personal friend of John Giles, Odessa FL in the 70's & 80's. A really nice gentleman who built several pistols for me, one being a 1911 38 Special ( from a 38 Super) Conversion. The Zero wadcutters were extremely accurate.
