375 H&H is getting closer

Started with a new CZ550 receiver, AHR trigger, and 3 pos safety. Mike Bryant chambered a Shilen #4 SS barrel at 22" and threaded the muzzle. It appears that B&C was the only synthetic stock available and should be here in a couple days. I need to find 20rds of new brass and some good hunting bullets.

keep an eye out here for nosler, the blem is , not sure? i cant tell!

270gr are sweet. 300gr kick like a mule!!!

Thanks, I will reload. I just need more brass and both 270 and 300gr bullets.

they randomly have brass and bullets. just have to get their alerts.
i really dont have any i planned on parting with but i could check and may be able to part with 20 rem r-p brass 1,or 2x fired if you run into a bind.
pretty hard to beat the NP or AB
and already loaded to fireform nosler brass, with a box ‍

Thanks, looks like I might just form my own brass. I have a lot of Norma basic magnum brass and I used to mfg and sell case forming die sets. I'm just kinda lazy.

I'm still kicking my ass and regretting not buying a Brno 602 in 375 H&H for $ 1,000 Canadian pesos. I thought it would still be there the next day and it wasn't. It looked like it had less than 5 rounds down the barrel. It looked 100 % brand new, but it was used.
I will never forgive myself for that one.
:(

I guess great minds think alike.. i just chambered this for myself it shoots minute of milk jug at 75 yards with peep sights and my 68 year old eyes. cz550 magnum receiver, pac-nor barrel, NECG peep sights. Next on my list of wants is a 416 ruger on a commercial fn receiver

i agree but 25 pieces of brass are $75! may as well spend another $20 and have them loaded and ready to fireform with a pretty box lol
primers are $95/1000
Damn the man!
Lets go Brandon!

I am building one and bought brass and bullets when I started 3 years. Even got a mold and have a bunch of cast bullets. When I get back next week I will look and see if I have some spares. More than likely I do. It is not exactly an all day tin can plinker.

110 years later and we're still drooling over the 375 H&H
:D
I can understand why; decades ago (I was about 12), an acquaintance who was a ranch foreman showed me his and took me hunting with it. As someone who had never shot anything bigger than a 30-30 at that time, I asked him why the 375 H&H? I'll never forget his answer (he was a serious hand loader), "Because I can reload it for anything from gray squirrel to rhinoceros."

There are other equally versatile big bores, many/most of which didn't even exist then, but I haven't ever found a more useful big bore than his 375 H&H if you are going to reload for it.

The 35 Whelen. Is less powerful, less expensive. but Very Versatile Wild to Mild cartridge. Those are the only two cartridges I have made real lead round ball "Mouse Fart" loads that work accurately.

I load the 300g Accubonds in mine and they do a number on the pigs. If you keep tabs on Noslers website you can find some brass pretty often but the projectiles are where the issue for this round is at. I’m down to my last few box’s and Ive been looking for them a while.

Do yourself a favor Find this lyman mold [ # 375449bx] & 4895 powder, pinch of dryer lint for filler for reduced loads in your old "Ouch n Ouch" 66% to 68% of a max load ... You will find happiness. My wife shoots ours w that load & claims it is easier on the shoulder than her super Lt Wt. '06. I think she is bragging but it is potent accurate & deadly .... mikeinct
