You might also look at data with the Barnes TTSX. I used to load them in a .338 UMag and they were some of the most accurate and deadly bullets I've ever seen. That was before Hammers but I bet a 250gr in your rifle would get about 2800 +.new project here, was wondering if anyone had tried any tipped hammers out of one of these and what results were?
Do you by any chance happen to have any of the old Norma Triclad 250 grs? One of the best factory bullets ever made. My buddy also used 280gr Swift A-frame with good results. Are you using the monos for penetration?thanks for your ideas / the factory norma 250 bonded bullets are quite accurate and 3 fired by the garmin was 2780 -2785fps / and it doesnt have any signs of being a hot load.
I am not a fan of the Sierra 225s for the .358 norma unless you are using it for smaller big game animals. Shed jackets, lack of penetration. It is not designed to take advantage of the .358 potential.no sir i just got this and have 3 boxes of factory norma ammo that came with it, so i have not ordered or spent alot of time looking for components yet, if i find any of the norma 250s i will snag them but from 1st days looking it seams that there is very few companies producing limited choices, the local trading post had some sierra 225s, i did get them, i have plenty of long range rifles and hope to make this a truck gun for brush or willow stalking elk will be the biggest game here
