350 LEGEND Load Data

It seems load data for the 350 Legend is borderline non-existent on forums and Hodgdons load data is fairly limited. Does anyone have load data you've personally have tested in your 350 Legend?

I am on a quest to make the Barnes 180 TTSX shoot in my Ruger Ranch. I have sized the bullet to 0.356" with LEE sizing dies and I plan on using Hodgdon's Lil Gun data as a starting point. I don't anticipate running into any issues with the resized bullet diameter except for potential pressure issues but I plan on taking it slow and working up. The bullet is a touch on the long side with the plastic tip so that will likely be removed to fit mag length.

I am also trying out 125-158gr plated bullets with trailboss for a nice little gallery plinker. Im hopeful this will turn into a fun little versatile gun for plinking at the range up to deer at +150yd.

While I do not have the precise answer you’re seeking, I’ve read numerous accounts of people taking 357 Maximum max load data as starting load data for 350 Legend.

Well, I shot a range of loads with Lil gun and the 180ttsx with the tipped removed (for OAL limits) and the best 3 shot I got was right under an inch. I believe I was able to push them to 2100fps + based on some quickload data another User provided. Ill be loading up a bunch more to confirm the load.

Also 6.5gr of Trailboss loaded with a 125 HSM plated bullet at 2.000" yields 1100fps and was surprisingly accurate out to 100yards. Its gonna be a good, cheap plinking load.

Resurrecting the dead. Here are some updates and new loads.

165 ftx with 26.0gr lilgun @ 2.285" results in excellent accuracy in my Ruger Ranch. Similarly, a range partner shoots his at 25.5gr of lilgun @ 2.265" out of his AR. Either are excellent deer loads.

124gr FMJ from Everglades with 27gr of lilgun @ 2.090" is a fun full-power plinking load. Excellent accuracy at 50yd.

The 180ttsx with the tip removed did not expand as well as I hoped (slightly larger than original o.d. unless it strikes bone). The bullet is very tough but is capable of crushing through shoulders and violent shock on deer sized game.

The Hornady 170 SP shoots .5" in my friends Savage axis with Accurate 11FS. Top speeds were with Lil Gun but it wouldn't group well. A-5744 shot horrible. N-110 shoots well but cant get enough in the case to get any speed. FWIW
