I had MGM sometime ago when they would do custom stuff run a 223 reamer in to a .338 barrel I had, I believe he used a hand operated 338 throater I had it set way out, I cut the brass off at the shoulder, the case is sized with a 223 die and seat with a 338 seater 17.5 gr of H4198 one hole at 100yards 200 gr BT shoot all day smiling, Then because I LIKE rimmed cartridges had them rim cut it and now use 360DW brass

I still haven't built mine yet. But I'm planing on building my 338 whisper with a 3t barrel and tring some of the heavy subsonic expanding bullets in it along with some 175 gr cutting edge bullets. The build will be on a xp100r. If I can get it to shoot good we willsee what it does. I will try it on critters. Working my way up from prairie dogs.
