338 snipe tac

This may not be SnipersHide but the cartridge has been discussed here at least:

Dave Viers no longer does gunsmithing but is heavily involved with making some of the best custom dies:

Be aware that most of people posting loads do not mention the bullet AND the OAL based on the chamber so loads can be significantly different. Finding a good supply of ultra-slow burning powder can be a challenge since most of loads I read about do not come close to filling the case. Look for some of the surplus 20mm powders and read about their use in this case.

Long barrels and slow powders are your friend.

Regards.

I recently purchased a 338 snipe tac. Looking for load ideas. Also what dies do you guys recommend? Thanks!
As Kurz mentioned, you're going to need some very slow powder to get the best performance out of this case. Check out www.gibrass.com - they have surplus WC870 and WC872 in stock at some pretty good prices. Both of these powders were/are used in 20 mm shells.
