.338 Lapua with a Thunderbeast Suppressor

My 338 Ultra suppressor just got it's walking papers Monday. 7 months and 3 days.... I screwed it on my 338 Lapua built by Ryan Pierce and took it to the range Saturday. Our local sportsman's club hosts a deer rifle sight in and I often help out. There is usually some quiet time so I brought the rifle and suppressor out. All I can say is wow. It wasn't cheap (rifle, scope or suppressor) but the rifle shot as good as I can hold with the Thunderbeast brake on it out to 600 yards. I screwed the can on, boresighted the scope and touched a round off. The sound can best be described as a long report from an air rifle or a potato gun. 10 rounds entertained 6 shooters after I zeroed the rifle.

99 grains of RL-33 with a 300 grain Berger were like shooting a toy. No recoil, no noise, awesome accuracy. If any of you are on the fence about getting a suppressor, don't. This is my second Thunderbeast. Amazing performance!

I use a TB 30-P1 on one of my 300WMs. 230gr Berger OTMs at 2780fps and recoil is like a 308 with 155s. The rifle is on the heavy side, but without the can it is "unpleasant" to shoot. I won't shoot it without my creedmoor hardback if the can is off.

I am putting the 338 Ultra on my second 300WM to see if it will handle the heat from 74-75gr of Retumbo better after 10 shots. Should be significantly better as it has a lot more volume.

Thunderbeast makes an outstanding product, and they are very responsive when you have questions, etc. Good people making good kit.

I have five tbacs. My buddy, nephew, and friend all shoot tbac 338BA/ultras on our 338AI and 338 Edge's. No recoil and quiet. Scott

I had a 338BA waiting for a stamp when the recall came out. The stamp for the recalled suppressor came very quick, but I decided to replace it with the Ultra model. Any wait is a long wait. Whitetail season opens here in MN next Saturday. I am using the 338 Lapua just because I can. I'll try to shoot as many Alaskan Coyotes as I can too.

I got my 30 cal ultra can in a few weeks ago.. i want a 338 can now... the tbac ultra is crazy awesome... supersonic and subsonic.

Subsonic my 308 is quieter than my suppressed 22lr...

Glad you like everything Scott. I love my ultra 7. Used it in a 6.5 saum a few weeks ago on antelope all the way out to 1200 yards. Got a couple on video. My fiance dumping one in its tracks at 725 yards was priceless. The rest stood around like where did that come from so i grabbed the gun and dumped one at 675. Then they decided they didn't like what was happening and scampered off, LOL.

My Ultra 7 works awesome on everything from the AR .223 up through the 28 Nosler. I have not put it on the 300 Ultra Mag or the 30 Nosler yet. I will probably use the 338 Ultra for the big 30's. I shot it again today, I can't wait for deer season!
