Sunday evening Danny Huffines brought a truck load of EYE CANDY toys to the Dome. He had his new Bat action 338 Lapua Improved with some once fired brass. Brass had only been fireformed and this was going to be the first test with the actual Improved brass version. I bore sighted the Valdada Terminator scope and first shot was on paper. We dialed her in and had a little vertical at 100 yards. A couple or 3 grains more of H-1000 should take care of that. He started about 3 grs low to be on safe side. SD of 7.5 fps. 800 yards showed a little vertical but at 2925 fps, 7.5 SD, this looks very, very promising when we get her up to 3000 fps.
Here is the first shot with a full Improved round
SANTA CLAUS also brought an impressive sack of toys.
SEB Mini

SEB JOY POD

He also had a Magneto chrono,
Labradar chrono,
Swarski spotting scope
All in all, I was in heaven for the hour or so he was here. He only had ten rounds. Next time we will go 1500 and 1800 with it, maybe Tuesday.
Vertical at 800 can be taken out with a couple more grains of H-1000

Hard to beat that SD of 7.5 fps

Notice the wind on my orange tape wind flag. His 300 Berger at 2925 fps was not affected much by wind @800

Awesome HOUR at the DOME!!!
Best of TIMES
"BLESSED" more than I deserve, beyond my dreams!
