338 Lapua h-1000 or retumbo?

Guys title says it all but I am likely to shoot the 300 SMK so what's your thought?

Also what if I change to a 250 grain bullet does anything change in terms of the above preference?

I tried H1000 and Retumbo. Re 33 gave me more velocity with less pressure. It was also just slightly more accurate. I did notice in my gun the closer to the rifling the better the bullet shot. I ended up 10 in. The velocity gain was substantial. I shot the 300 Sierra but liked the 300 Berger Elite better. It did way better on killing deer. Matt

RL-33 was made for it, and seems to shoot the best with what I had..

...and it works well in 338 and 300 NM as well.

SO, How much Re33 in your Lapua? So far my 98B likes H1000 over Retumbo for accuracy and velocity. I have some Re33. Guess I'll run a ladder test.

I have an Improved version and I shoot 104. went up to 105 and no pressure but had to back down to below 3000 with the slump issue on the 300 Berger Elite. 104 gave me 2993. You would have to back down some for a regular Lapua. Matt

H1000, RL-33 or if the planets align properly V.V.570.

In my 338 LM Improved - Rl-33, V.V.570, and if nothing else is in stock Retumbo.

H1000. This load is holding to a mile, and for me there is no reason to change. You are in a good spot where you can try all that new stuff.
