338 brass longevity

i have a couple hundred 338 lapua cases. all lapua brand and all have been fired five times. i am getting a barrel made this week and i am wondering if i should get new brass or get this stuff annealed and cleaned? thanks for the advice.

Anneal and clean. I'm on my 4th load of Lapua 338 cases. Bought a Bench source annealer for the price of 200 new Lapua cases. Now I can anneal everything else. Current brass prices are going to get any cheaper. Scott

I have an acquiantance that is on 1200 rounds out of a .338 Lapua with his orignal 100 pieces of brass. He doesn't load for absolute velocity but does go for absolute precision and is still going strong.

cool. i am glad to hear that the brass is lasting quite a while. i have 1250-1300 rounds on these two hundred pieces so it seems like a good time to freshen up this brass. any more advice is appreciated

When I got my PGWDTI Timberwolf, I was given 7 gallons of once fired Lapua brass.

I've loaded 100 of them 10 times, and checking the for case head separation I've found no indication at all. I will continue to reload them and check the. If I find any signs , I will deep six that batch.
