HI, GETTING REAMERS MADE FOR 338-06 build, can some of you that are using norma and/or nosler brass tell me what your cartridge outside neck diameter with a 338 bullet seated is? I would like to turn the necks just enough to uniform them, and then hope to have about 3 thousands total clearance in the chamber neck area. this will be just a little tighter than sammi specs. Just retired and hoping to do some elk hunting and just think 338 win mag is more recoil than I want,and don't like the compressed charges of the 338 federal. I'll beusing 180 to 225 grain nosler accubonds probably. I have the 338-06 A-square reamers puchased but want P.T.D. to tweek the neck measurements before they send them to me. measurement suggestions of neck please..........
