30mm vs 1in

is it better to have a scope in 30mm tube because of adjustments. i am looking at a burris scope 8-32 black diamond 30 mm tube. does anyone know how many moa i can get out of it. if not that many moa, what scope give a good adjustment under 600 bucks. i want a variable power, prefer 8-32. thanks

thanks guys. i personally don't know about sightron's because i shoot groundhog comp and i keep seeing people that have them sell them by the end of the year. there has to be a reason y. if i was considering buying a sightron i would spend the extra $500 and buy a nightforce.

For 100,300, 500yd groundhog comp; you won't eat up a whole bunch of your scope's MOA adjustment.

IF it is a concern, use Burris "Z"-rings w/ the plastic bushing inserts, and add MOA capability to your rifle/scope.

I you need more magnification, you may want to consider use of an "optical booster", perhaps on a Weaver; if you can't $$$ a Leupold. I went that route w/ a 36X Weaver, and could see my 6mm bullet holes in-the-white @ 500 at the West PA Groundhog shoot, late Sep '08 ). Still, boosters aren't for EVERYBODY.

Best of luck in your endeavors,

thanks 357mag, i shoot at st.thomas, mifflin and and am planning on going to shippensburg next year. my boss had a t36 with a booster he kept getting busted by the scope in the eye. like i said before i want a vari. and am going to get burris ring once i make up my mind what i want. i shoot a 6br and up at mifflin i couldn't see holes with 32 power cuz of mirage. it was BAD. thanks
