30mm Scope Ring Recommendations for Tube gun

Looking for help choosing a set of set of 30mm scope rings to go on a Elesio R5 Chassis using a Sightron SIII 8-32x56 with the purpose of shooting mid range and long range prone. Quick release would be nice but not a necessity.

Nothing wrong with that choice at all. I have an RTS Eliseo in 260. When i had my S3 8-32 MOA on a still day I could see the pasters on the target face at 1000. It was reliable on the clicks up and down. For the money i think it is the best scope out there

OK, I am sorry for not reading the title closely enough. I read the body and completely read over the word "rings".

I shoot my Eliseo on a Atlas bipod with a rear sandbag that rests on a 1.5 inch wooden plkatform to make the rifle comfortable with my head position prone. All of that said, I originally used Burris 6 bolt tactical rings that were 1.6 inches to center from the top of the rail. What I found is that I was too close to the top of the elevation range of my scope, even with the 20 MOA rail that Gary puts on the design. So I went with the new Burris Signature XTR rings so that I can even add more offset to the configuration. Now my zero at 100 yards is with in 1 turn of the bottom. So it is easy to return the scope to my 100 yard zero and I have oodles of elevation left for 1000.

ALso when you get it all together do a tall target test so you can calibrate what your scope is doing. I recommend that you go at least 35 MOA to make sure it is linear all the way up. Makes hitting the 1000 yard target a lot easier.

if you have the tactical/F class cheekpiece you can get by with 1" high rings, if you have the target cheekpiece or the windage adjustable cheekplate you'll need about 1.25" high rings (measured from top of the rail to center of scope) lots of good choices in your price range
