30mm reduced to one inch

Has anybody use these or is it a bad idea. I’m looking at some Talley Rings with reducers. I thought it would also keep rings from scratching up scope if it moves for some reason.

I used these to "borrow" a 1" scope to do some testing. Worked fine. I would lap the proper sized rings for a permanent installation.

I haven't used the reducers, but I have 3 pair of the Burris XTR Signature rings, two on 6.5 Creedmoor and a 7 mag......same principal I imagine, and no movement in any of them......torque to proper torque and you should be good to go...for most calibers...real heavy hitters might be a different story....

Yeah, they seem to work pretty good. A couple of BR guys used to make some, aLthough I doubt they should be bought only for potential scope shift.
