30BR Sizing Die

Any recommendations on where to find a 30BR full length sizing die? I am thinking of a Harrell's #3 die and just ordering without sending in 3 times fired brass - can't reload to send in fired cases without dies. Would this be a mistake? Any other options out their? How about over the counter bullets for fire forming and breaking in a new barrel. Just getting started and need some good advice.

Thanks

You can reload without the FL die. Actually you don’t want to FL size between the firing 3 times. If you have the correct bushing just tap it on the neck just enough to hold a bullet between firings. For the money a Harrell’s die is hard to beat but you want the correct size.

Get a bushing die so you have the ability to change your neck tension. Several experts on this forum advised recently that adjusting neck tension can be a real game changer for the 30br. I’m listening to them.
Several guys here use the cheap Speer TNT 125 with good results. Trying to find them right now is near impossible, tho.

I would suggest that you contact the smith that chambered it, or the former owner, and see if they can give you a recommendation based on experience. If none of that works for you then the above advice of working out a way to neck size and fire 3X before sending them in for a die is the way to go. From my experience, I would recommend that you ask the die maker to make the die 0.0005 smaller than their normal sizing criteria. 30BR is a lot of fun. Don't forget to get some good custom bullets on order; wait times are a bitch.

I have not. We’re in stage two fire restrictions and as a result all the ranges are closed and all shooting is prohibited on state and federal lands. I’m beside myself. I haven’t shot a round in three weeks, plus I have a new gun. Dagnabit.
