Well here is the short and long of it.
On the Saturday afternoon 29th of April at our local range we had a center fire Bench-rest shoot.
As there was only my 30BR and 6X6mmPPC`s they decided on a score match with three targets at 100 yards and another 3 at 200 yards and a group target thrown in at each distance just to make it different.
Well to cut a long story short i beat them in the score shooting, their excuse being my holes were much bigger hahaha but to rub salt into the wounds i beat them at the group as well.
With a .197 at 100 yards and a .232 at 200 yards.will attach photo`s.
Reloaded that night and the next morning the mate and I drove 250 miles north to Townsville for a 500m Fly shoot,550yards).
Having not shot 500m before we weren't too sure how we would fair.
We arrived in time to get a few sighters in on the Sunday afternoon and within 5 shoot had 2 in the ten ring.
After raining all night it cleared the next day to overcast Sky's and a westerly wind which had everyone guessing.
Well for a pair of first timers we did OK biggest problem which we still haven't figured out is after putting down our sighter shots on the sighter target we would wind the windage top of the front rest across to the score target, they were about 3 feet apart on the frame at 550 yards)the first shot on the score target would go 6 or seven inches right now right was into the wind now if we didn`t wind across but bumped rear bag over it was OK but only did this on the last target.
Will post a couple of them also so you can see what i mean OK. And any solutions to the problem would be nice as well.
Anyway the mate got himself a FLY patch as he hit two Fly`s i came close but close don`t count.
Each of the rings on the FLY target are 3 eigths of an inch outside measurement is 8& 5 eighth inches
