So I did a seating depth test today and was wondering if I could get some opinions?
My touch point using my comparator and the wheeler method is 1.670. So I loaded 9 rounds to do 3x3 with each seating depth. They were 1.700, 1.690, 1.680, 1.670, and 1.660
Below are pictures of the results. After all of my reading I thought I'd find the sweet spot with a good jam, but it appears my groups are best at TP.
Also, if you're wondering, I do 3 groups because my range is 30 mins away and if I pulled a shot which I do on occasion, I'd be able to redo that group. Today went okay though. Light breeze and gusts of wind about 6-8mph. Wind flags were in use.
Questions:
What seating depth would you run with?
This is my first 30BR. If I'm at just touch, will I be chasing the lands often? I feel like I'm doing that often with other cartridges.
Thanks fellas
