30BR 'Rat Rod' HBR gun update

Took advantage of the weather laying down mid afternoon yesterday to get the first groups on paper. The PacNor 1:18 and 'Humble' Henry Rivers chambering work didn't disappoint. :) Doing three shot groups in .3 gr. increments, the gun likes to shoot both down low (33.0) and up high (34.5). Interestingly, the 33.0 load pictured had the highest POI of everything tested. ;) Next time out, I'll start a bit lower and see what shakes out. Scope was a 36X Sightron for load work.

that stock is "Bad Asz" !
I love it.
I may have to do one of mine in antiquing !
I'm not much on laying down with a BR rifle so i think that's a Good shooting hard butt.

Jfyi, I found my bolt Handel would hit the ring when they were flush back like that.

Thanks for responding Al, sorry about the slight derailment of this thread.
I’m getting excited about our range holding the 600 yard IBS nationals this year and hope to campaign the rifle Ronnie Long chambered for me, you may remember his success with the 30 BR back when. He cut me a great chamber in straight 6BR and I understand he has a 6BRAI now as well which I may have to get at least one barrel in. Love to see your posts and great shooting results. You definitely have great ability to revive a gun from the ashes, perhaps you should name this one “Phoenix “
