30BR-is H4198 'it'?

Anyone experimenting with something other than H4198,my current powder), and VV N130,which I can't find locally) in your 30BR?

Always looking to try something new, to find another tenth..... ,or with my shooting, another 0.750")

Some are shooting Tubal 2000 if you can find it. Other than that, you might try H322, Rel 7, or go faster with H4227 or 1680.

The H4227 is actually a slower powder than H4198 And the reloader 7, TU2000 & VV N130 are all rated as being about the same.
A couple of shooters have tried BM2 over this side of the pond with pretty good results that's Benchmark in the Hodgdon powder IMR3031 or AA2015 But i will stick with the Ar2207/H4198 works good for me.

This is what my 30BR is capable of if only i could do my part and remember to watch that wind change. One of my targets from the weekends shoot 30BR 115gr CDC 32.8grs AR2207/H4198 200 yards.
And i stuffed up on the powder in the previous post,H4227/Ar2205) it is actually a bit faster than the H4198/Ar2207 i use.

aussiebob: The H4227 Hodgden we have here in the States is most definitely not slower than H4198 Hodgden! Possibly this is like Benchmark...two rates in Austrailia and only one in the U.S.? I've done considerable work with H4227 in my 30BR. For U.S. shooters, you most assuredly don't want to use H4198 loading data.

Good shootin'. -Al

H4227 is marketed as AR2205 in OZ which is faster than H4198 / AR2207. 2205 is similar to the old IMR4227. H4198 / AR2207 is similar to the old IMR4198. :)
