I'll throw a wrench into the mix on this old post as I was one of the responders to it in 2015. I tried LT30 and it never worked for me. Just could not get the consistency I get with H4198. I also tried VV n130 same issue but VV n120 seems to work better. Go figure! I've been getting better results with more neck tension. As for those 125 grain Speer TNT working you'll have to do a lot of sorting both by weight and base to ogive measurements. You'll have a lot of culls to get rid of. Save your time and buy a custom bullet.

N120 is one that I was thinking of when I said there are other good options. It's just about perfect and I'd love to see more people work with it. I shot it exclusively in a 30 Major for 10 years before they started jacking with it. It's still at the top of the list with h4198 n130 and rl7, IME with all of them.

I shot LT 30 all this past season and had great results with it in my rifle, 108 gn bullets 1-17 twist Hart.
