30br data

Having a 30br with a 15 twist barrel built. And I would like to try the heaver bullets. 125,135,150's. Does anyone has load data for that bullet range. Thanks for the help

im using reloder 10-x for my 155 grain load in my 1:13.5 twist

not sure if my current load of near 30 grains is safe
in it yet
so start low- somewhere in the 26-28 grain range if you want
im thinking of going to the next slowest powder down to reduce chamber pressure a bit

This will be my first 30br, I have played with the 6mm. I don't shoot score but have friends who do. They say a tuned 30br 17 twist with the hand made bullets will agg in the 1's and 2's. We have special shoots here in Ky at 3 and 4 hundred yards. And that is what I do. I know if I deviate from the proven loads in the 30br I will lose some of that accuracy. But if it will agg in the 3's and 4's with the 135's that will give a bit of bc. And should bust balloons at 300 and 400. I will shoot some score this coming year. And will use some of the fine hand made bullets. The reason I want to try the 30br is because everybody says it stays in tune so well.

Thanks for all of your help

I think you would be pushing the envelope for bullet stability in the 140 gr. range with the 1/15 twist. But the only way to find out for sure is try some.

James, have you purchased/ordered your 1:15 barrel yet??

If you want to have the OPTION of shooting heavier and you have not got your barrel yet

It might be worthwhile going faster in twist if you have the option- if you choose

I have shot Lapua 185 HPBT in my 1:13.5 and have got sub MOA from them and NO sign of projectile tipping as they went through the targets out to 350 yards

I did this testing mostly just to see if they would work- I use the Speer 125 TNT most of the time.

I was testing the 155's to see if I could use them for a local, australian) 500m target competition
I have only had time to test the 155's at 100 and 200 so far.
The 155's shot a .441 at 100
The conditions had gone to heck by the time I got to shoot at 200 and it still shot .991 and 1.12 for the 2 groups I tried before the conditions got to bad to bother shooting any more for the day.
