30BR bullet weight with a 1-14”

I shoot a 30 B-R with a 1-14" twist rate barrel and shoot Sierra's 110 gr. JHP out of it at 100 & 200 yards.

100 yard accuracy: 5-shot groups are consistently smaller than a single bullet hole from 357 magnum.

200 yard accuracy: 5-shot groups are consistently smaller than a single bullet hole from a 44 magnum.

I no longer shoot competition, but this makes for one heckuva coyote rifle for shooting close range.

Addendum:

I tried several custom bullets in this rifle and for some reason, it didn't like any of them.

The second best bullet in this particular rifle was the SPEER 125 gr. TNT.

Both bullets shot best with a Remington 7 1/2 primer and H-4895 powder in Match prepped Lapua cases.

The Sierra bullet shot best .007 into the rifling, and the SPEER bullet shot best .010 into the rifling.
