30BR Barrel Markings

I recently purchased a lightly used custom Remington 40 XBR in 30 BR caliber. The barrel is marked “ 6 BR .330 “. What does this mean, and how difficult will it be for me to make brass from new 6 BR cases.
Or should I purchase finished 30 BR brass to fit this rifle from a pro?
My thanks, in advance, for help/advice.

A little mis-leading with the 6BR representing a 6mm cal. It should have been mark 30BR .330 Neck representing 30 cal. To answer your question you can make your own brass with the right combination of tools for expanding & turning the necks down to @ .098 for proper fitting with good clearance in the chamber for bullet release. There are folks I suppose who do the brass prep for you and some are probably on this forum. If you are wanting to go that route I would place a "WANT AD" in the marketplace at the bottom of the main page.

If you don’t want to make your own brass, I highly recommend P1Zombiekiller as the best source of ready to fire 30BR cases. None better that I’m aware of. A great guy, a very talented competitor, and a gold level sponsor

It is a 30 caliber. Interestingly, I took a couple new Lapua 6BR brass and resized their necks to 30, and they chambered easily in my rifle. I may load and fire form them to see the results.
