In a LV rifle maybe, but a 13.5 lb HV? But, recoil is perceived differently by us all I guess.

I run and gun and when you shoot that style it’s tough to take the recoil see what you hit and get off four more shots in a hurry. The gun gets disturbed in the bags and getting back on target in the SAME condition is enough to make an old man out of you.

Got around to shooting my 30BR again today. This thing never quits. Definitely my best 5 shot group from this rifle and probably one of the best of a lifetime. Tried some 112 Barts again. Loaded 34.7 gr. of H-4198 with a 205M primer and backed off from a .324 to a .325 bushing @ .010 off the lands. Zack (WSMNUT) sure knows how to build a shooter.

EDIT: My loaded round neck dia. measures .3275

Man what a combo. Barts 112GR Bullets and Lilja 3 Groove 1-17" Barrels. This is the exact same combo I shoot out of my personal 30BR. The only problem I have had is picking a load.

What do you choose the one hole group or the one hole group or the one hole group?

No dilemma! Pickup a Tikka with a standard bolt face and ship it to VA. I’ll get @Hoodoo to ship out one of those 3 groove hot rods and you’ll be stacking blacktail deer up before you know it.

When it does happen to me, I say do I want to fire the 4th then the 5th?
I have 2 of Zacks barrel's ready for load development. Fun spring coming up...

U bet I thought about it and cringed at the thought of the # 4 going haywire but once it went where I wanted it I said oh well I'm going for 5 here. Hope your 2 barrels shoot fantastic. I'd bet on it for sure.
