308WIN, 185gr Juggs, and CCI 450 for F-Class

Have been shooting the same for many years now.

2013 FTR Team reamer in 30" Brux on Pierce action
Lapua brass - 15+- firings
CCI 450 or BR
185 J - .030"+- jump
N150 - 45.9 gr currently
2850 fps at the moment, with 1900+ rounds. It started at around 2800 fps, but keeps getting faster. Thorro-Clean will slow it down temporarily, but by the end of a match, it is back to 2850.

Fellow F-TR shooter here - can you elaborate on your Thorro-Clean theory? I've noticed some intermittently slower speeds with my match load (Varget/205M/200.20X) as of late, and I clean after every match with Thorro-Clean. You've got my attention.

Clean bright steel is sticky. Fouling is lubrication.

Have you tried CFE-223 ?

I develop loads for people who don't have all the equipment or who have moved and havent set up their equipment yet etc
anyway, a friend of mine has a custom 308 and wanted me to develop a long range tack driving load
using 180 WTC Flatline bullets
But his back up bullet is 185 Juggernauts
I would have thought CFE-223 to be too hot of powder myself
But after some research of what other guys were using mine landed within 20 fps of the High Node of other peoples loads
47.0 grns of CFE-223 180 gr Bullet / approx 2800 fps
It basically turns a 308 into the equivalent of a 30/06
Tack Driver at 900 yds

This was with LR Primer Brass though, but may still be relevant.

Honestly I hadn't even considered cfe223 as a contender!
