Obermeyer chamber works just fine with Jugs, I even shot them out of a 13 twist.
How do you think an Obermeyer chamber would do with 185 Juggs? Could possibly see myself shooting them after reading how well Wheeler likes them for hunting. This would be a mag fed 700 BDL.
Thanks for all those PDF's! Really appreciate it!

Thats why I used the .170 FB available in the FTR Reamer for the 185 Jugs in a 12 twist.most accurate load ends up being longer than your magazine.
I’m not afraid to go with an extended Wyatts BDL magazine kit, I did that on my win mag and I can seat bullets to 3.800”, they make a short action version. So I could run an Obermyer chamber and seat bullets long and still feed from a magazine. Little mill work on the stock and you’d be good to goyou seem to be mixing apples and oranges.
mag length ammo and long single fed ammo bullets
the two do not mix well.
if you are going with a mag fed rifle then ONLY LOOK AT BULLETS USED IN MAG FEED AMMO.
I SHOOT 175'S FROM A MAG. and LAPUA 185'S SINGLE FEED
Not looking for 1K velocity for the juggs. If I’m shooting game at 1K the win mag with 215 Berger’s at 3K FPS comes out. 600 yard velocity I’d be happy withgenerically
if you load a sie mk175 to 2.8 oal you have 47.8 usable case volume,
if you load a 185 jug to 2.8 oal you have 46.0 usable volume, a loss of more than
1.6 when you are trying for 1k velocity...not a good thing
What is you OAL with the juggs? And what is the jump/jam that works for you?Thats why I used the .170 FB available in the FTR Reamer for the 185 Jugs in a 12 twist.
Works real well for me. ( I single feed as well )
I dont recall the OAL with Juggs...only measure the BTO anyway...Currently Shooting the 175 Berger LRBT with RL15 @ 2.261 BTO with -.045 from soft jam. ( Think around 2.870 Coal )..but dont hold me to it. ( About )What is you OAL with the juggs? And what is the jump/jam that works for you?
AgreedObermeyer would be an excellent choice.
