.308 wildcat based on 7mm rem mag

Folks, I have an older Savage 110c in 7 mag. I have a boyds stock already for it. I'd like to shoot heavier Berger bullets for it but will be limited by the mag. I would just build a 300 win mag on it but the 215 hybrids I would want to use coupled with the limitations of the mag aren't conducive. Was thinking of necking up a 7 mag case to .308. I'm not sure of the name of the wildcat, but either way I think I could get away with 200 grain hybrids or at least the 185's. I'm not sure if the prc cases will feed with that magazine. Need to use the stock and action I have. Not interested in single feeding for it.
I’d go straight to 300WSM with the appropriate freebore.

I shoot a 30-338. Neck up 7mag.
It shoots 168-230gr. .250 moa@100yds.
I’ve gone to a mile with it.
Shoots 168gr. @3250
230gr. @2750
Custom Remington.
But I will probably re-chamber or new barrel it for the 300PRC later. It gets me away from the belted case and wildcat cartridge.
Just me.

You already have dies. I admire wildcats and your performance has already spoken for itself.
If you reinvent the wheel, its still a wheel.
