308 rl17 and 200 hybrids

i was just wondering if any one was doing or has done any testing with this compo rl17 and 200 hybrid in a 308?i was thinking of trying this combo for fclass shooting out of a 30 inch barrel.

what would be a realistic load and muzzle velocity?my chamber is throated long for these bullets.so far i have been using n150.

Hi Darin. I'm about to start playing with both the 185 and 200 hybrids. I'm hoping to stay away fro R17 if I can. I figured to start with N150, Varget, and H4895. What sort of velocity are you getting with n150?

I'm using Varget with the 185 Hybrids and getting 2660 from a 28" barrel.

hi matt

i never shot them threw a chrony but i went to cannaught yesterday for a practice,i tryed some 200s loaded with n150 and some 210s loaded with rl17.both had a 200 yard zero these were the come ups to 900mm

200s had 31.5 moa
210s had 30 moa

the vertical was abit better with the 210s.also tryed some 185s hybrids with varget with some good results their again dont know the fps.

185s had 27.5 moa at 900mm

Tried R17 in a 30-06 with 215 hybrids. Accuracy was absolutely horrible and velocity was no better than H4350 or H4831. It shoots 5/16" grps with the 4350. I will never use it again.
