308 National Match

What's the difference between a standard 308 chamber and a National match chamber
I've looked for a drawing but I'm looking in the wrong places evidently .

me thinks you will find lots of "national match" chambers...maybe not.
m14 was the last rifle the us actually had "national match" parts and specs for.

match ar's came from the civilian side, the gov followed.

you would need a chamber reamer/chamber drawing to know the difference.

i have never seen a spec for a usgi "national match" 7.62x51 chamber/reamer.

(noticed you asked about 308 national match...the usgi's guns are 7.62x51 nato...so a 308 (win) national match could be anything.)

No no
If you look it up you will find there is a difference. The case is a few ten though longer and the shoulder is a couple ten thousandths larger.

not sure what you are trying to say////
i never said the two were the same( 308 win and 7.62x51 nato)
he is asking about "308 national match"......no such thing in the usgi side of the world.

( i think you will find that the comment was about the difference in 7.62 and 308 win..even tho no one asked the question)
