.308 muzzle brake

I put a Muzzle Brakes & More Brake on a Custom built , "Mosin-Nagant Field Rifle" ,and the difference was night and day . Due to reduction of recoil , and vertical "jump" , the rifle became a solid 1-2 MOA Rifle at 500 yards . And that was shooting 182gr. Comm-Bloc Mil-surp ammo . Wanted to go with a Five-port Brake , but was restricted to a four-port , due to barrel diameter . The Russians put a 29-1/2" barrel on the 91/30 for a reason . Why screw with what works ?
