308 FTR reamer

I shot F open not FTR need reamer speck for 185 bergers and a little bit of load data please. Also is the jaggernaut bullet then the long range boat tail for accuracy

A. Addy of mine from work shoots for team savage. His is a 95palma throated out for the 185s. He was just given two of the 308 Palma rifles he's doing the same for. Lucky dawg!

My F-TR 2013 PT&G has .168" fb. Using 185 Juggernauts I have.140" of bullet shrank in neck when touching lands. In my 28" barrel I can load it to 2850 fps, but my bbl likes 2720-2750 fps (44.2 grs N150). Mild load in my barrel.

You mean they don't shoot factory guns with factory chambers?

Juggernaut bullet = Berger PN 30107
Are you turning necks?
If no turn, then you have 2 great "out of the box custom" choices for a 185 jugg 308 reamer:
1. Contact Dave Kiff at PTG for .168 freebore, and/or 2. Pierce Eng with .225 freebore.

I have the Pierce chamber in my 30in 11 twist Brux stanard palma. With 44.0gr Varget, seated at cartridge OAL of 2.920in I easily get 2800+ fps with no pressure signs and plenty of room for more Varget...

Search this forum for threads on 185 jugg reamers - this is a pretty mature topic here.

Why such a big freebore difference between the two?

Good choice. I would not go longer than .168" FB with Juggernaut. Just my opinion from my experience. If you will use use Lapua brass in no turn chamber, I advise you .341" neck. Perfect with factory specs Lapua brass (.003 -.0035" total clearance).
