.308 die set preferences

I am gearing up to shoot .308 F T/R in the spring. I have been devoted to Redding dies for many years such as their Competition Neck Sizing die set that I use for my service rifle. Will the Redding dies stand up to the demands of this sport or should I be looking at other die sets?

I use the Redding Type S Match die sets in both .308 Win and .223 Rem for F-TR reloading. I have never felt that the dies were anywhere near being the limiting factor. They work quite well. There are, of course, other choices, but you won't go wrong with the Redding dies.

I've been loading for F-TR .308 with a Redding Type S , F/L Bushing die for five years now , and it still makes very useable ammo . I'm sure that at some point ; you may want to go with a more "chamber specific" Die , but you can make a lot of very good rounds with the Type "S" .

Agree the Redding F/L bushing and Micrometer seating dies are of good quality. I have used them for many years and have never felt I was leaving anything on the table by using them. I also use Wilson F/L bushing dies for a few of my B R rifles as well. I feel I get very comparable service and quality from both.

Redding FL Bushing Dies and Body Die was all I used for Years of Palma Shooting .308.

As of late Redding #1 Shell Holder's have been failing ?
Redding sent free one it broke in two days ? Replaced with RCBS and running fine.

My last Redding die was a type S in 223 internal finish was poor tool marks on the
top of the die where the nut makes contact, tool marks on the spacer that
makes contact with the bushing. I guess this is the new improved product.
