308 bullets

I was wondering if you guys might know the diference between a 155 scenar, 155 palma or a 155 a-max, other than the brand. What are your experiences with these. I had bought a box of the Hornadys,havn't had a chance to load any yet, and then saw Sierra had a palma and then there is the Lapua. Thanx for your input.

Precisioon Shooting ran a test of each. Too large to type in. Might get some back issues of Precision Shooting.

nosler also makes a 155gr .308 "custom competition" bullet

I have not tried any of the 155s except the Nosler custom comp bullet and it shoots great. I use it for vintage military rifle shooting and it is very accurate in every 30 cal. rifle I have used it in. M1 Garand, 1903A3, K-31 Swiss. I also use it in my 30X47 HBR and it shoots bug holes. I have not tried it as a hunting bullet but am planning on doing so on deer this fall.

The Nosler 155 Custom Competetions are a good bullet. I picked up a box of 100 that were being clearanced out at a small gunshop and was surprised how well they shot out of my Rem 5R.
