Recently reading on the forum of how well the WSM dominates 1000 Yard Matches. Are these two Cartridges getting ready for the Ultimate battle Head to Head? It's great Entertainment learning about the Real Battle's of 1000 Yard Match Shooting.

300 PRC has a long way to go to catch up to 300 WSM for benchrest comps.

The 300 PRC has been used for 12 years in competition. Myself and the Hornady guys have been using it with some success. Back then I had a case based on the 8X68S case. The 30 BooBoo. Perfect size but getting brass was hit or miss. When we started using the then 300 HSM, we knew the capacity was more than we wanted/needed for pure accuracy work but it was a simple solution. The 225 ELD-M's help manage that over capacity issue. This is where the WSM shines. Perfect capacity for 30 cal. The best accuracy lives at or just below 3000 FPS.

If you are a Student you should pay attention a little more! Go to any 1000 yard web sight and see who is shooting the small groups and winning matches, the WSM is hard to beat.

Mostly Berger 210VLD. Second most is 215 Berger. Matt

Do you know how fast they are pushing the 210s? I may give them a try in my 300 wsm. I have tried the 215 and 230s. Both shoot very good.

Most are shooting at 2850 with H4350. Some are using powders that allow a little more speed or have a fast barrel and they are getting 2900. Matt
