300wm

I was wondering is reloader 22 powder very temperture sensitive for a 300 win mag to hunt with?I have been using h1000 powder but can not get it to group constanly more than once or twice.I have been shooting blackhills 190 match for accuracy and for hunting.I'm trying to duplicate the blackhills.I'm using blackhills brass, fed match primers, sierra 190 match bullets.Their powder is a mixture so i started with the h1000 powder.Any suggestions?

I have a .300 win mag Remington 700, I use the VihtaVuori N165 with great results, 78.7gn behind the 185gn Lapua Scenar, in a Norma brass and CCI Magnum primer.

it groups 1/2" at 300m and this is a factory rifle with factory barrel, even though it's a Sendero.

this is a hot load and kicks like a mule but it's spot on.

H1000 provides the best accuracy in a factory 300 Win Mag that is shooting 180 or larger bullets.
I tried all the others with poor results.
Happy shoot'n

I ran reloader 22 in my custom sendero and it loved it don't know if i would change it just for hunting.

With hundreds of different powder types I really doubt that you tried ALL the others...

I tried H1000 and I never got sub 1" at 300m, but I do get 1/2" with the N-165
temperature, humidity, pollution, air thickness and other factors affect how the gun shoots.
at Salt Lake in 100°F the H1000 probably works great, but at sea level in 5°F it just doesn't work that well...

WOW!! .500" groups at 300 yards. With a factory rifle yet. Those shooters at the IBS 200-300 Yd. nationals, in 2011, were only a few thousandths smaller, with full blown BR rifles. Good Shooting danzig.

I've had good results with Reloder 22 in several 300 WM hunting rifles pushing 180 gr. Ballistic Tips. I did not have the occasion to test above 80'F. though.
!/2" @ 300 meters is more than exceptional for a factory rifle......it's unbelievable!

.5" at 300m is really good, and I really like my Remington even though it kicks like a mule..

I tried some 3 shot groups this week at 200m and the accuracy of the 300 win mag was unbelievable.

it's much better than my 6mm BR.

this is my best group at 200m, getting this group size at 100m with 6BR makes me really happy :)

I run 22 & 25. No prob with temps.. I just have loads for certain temp ranges. I really believe "temp insensitive" is a marketing ploy. Sure, such powder may be less sensitive, but not insensitive.. Simple physics...

Nope, I love the RL22 in my 7mm RM and 25 in my 6.5/06 Imp..
