I'm down to using one all around rifle for the moment(300WM), does anyone have any load data for light bullets?
thanks
thanks
sorry, 300 win mag.Check with the bullet manufacture of any light bullet you plan to use. Most varmint bullets will not handle the high velocity the Weatherby or Winchester Mag, which ever one you have (300WM???), can produce. The rotational gravity at these high velocities will cause the bullet to sling it's self apart. You will see a gray puff in the air around 75 yards. You can probably get away with using the 125 Nosler Ballistic Tip because it is designed as a lite game "deer" bullet to operate for optimum game performance with impact velocities under 3000 fps. Run it faster than that like you can in a magnum and it will act like a varmint bullet on impacts over 3000 fps.
All the loading manuals will have load data for their bullets.
