I have a 300RUM and was wanting to put a 110 Vmax on top of it and push it out the barrel at 4000+fps. I saw some data in an earlier post, but I would like to use Hodgdon powder if possible, and would really be happy if the powder I use could also be used in one of these calibers as well: 204, 223, or 308, as I will only be shooting about 20 rounds through the 300 (I just want some video and pics of prairie dogs and coyotes getting hit by it).
To sum it up, I would like help on which powder I should use and a starting point to get a 110 Vmax to 4000+fps out of a 300RUM. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I do know that it will be a barrel burner, but that's why I will only shoot a few, I've looked at the Hornady manual, but they keep it at a modest 3900 when I've heard people pushing past 4200.
