300Blackout vertical grouping

brand new gun. Shooting from an AR platform with suppressor.

Group starts out good but through a ten shot group, will shoot almost a straight line vertically dropping about 3-4 inches in the group.

Any ideas what could cause this? And yes, the suppressor is on tight.

Group size with out suppressor installed?
Single shot or magazine fed??
10 shot group fired in 1 minute or 10 minutes???

Lots of possibilities w/ a gas/piston gun!

Don't know what your setup was, whether you shot off a rest/bag or freehand. But vertical stringing usually indicates something may have come loose (sights-changed) OR the rifle is "jumping" up when fired which accounts for a vertical stringing. Check and make sure you stock is staying down and not moving up and down. That would be my first place to look.

Subsonic or supersonic? Chronograph?

I would suggest taking your free hand and holding firmly the forearm when pulling the trigger. Pull firmly into your shoulder, or against the shooting bag.

At least this seems to work better for me keeping my groups consistent when shooting on paper.

Does each shot get successively lower, or are they random? Does it have a free float forearm? 10 shots through a suppressor makes a lot of heat, especially if you did not start with a cold gun. If you are shooting off of bags or some kind of rest, see if the surface of your rest allows the rifle to recoil freely and consistently. I used to shoot mine off an old rest with leather bags and groups weren't good. The aggressive surfaces on AR's makes consistent recoil almost impossible.

With suppressor. Didn't time it out but probably over 3 minutes. I

Was on a lead sled, very stable. Scope was torqued to 30 pounds. Suppressor adaptor was tightly glued on and suppressor was snug. No jumping. From previous feed, sounds heat related.
