300 WSM gurus powder advice please

I have enjoyed outstanding success using IMR 4831 to reload my Tikka T3 Light SST/SYN RMEF edition rifle in 300 WSM. Tried IMR 4451(to slow) and RL17 (not accurate enough) first but neither proved successful.

On a whim and because I had a fresh unopened pound I gave IMR4831 a try and in under 18 shots gave me all I could ask for in terms of velocity and more than I had a right to expect in accuracy from a stone stock factory rifle.

Over the years I have reloaded for a multitude of bottle necked rifle cartridges for myself and friends and have amassed a rather large assortment of powders, some are I THINK quite suitable for the 300 WSM and 180 grain bullets. I would like to do more load development and see if I can achieve success with another powder equal to that I have with IMR4831, but I am unsure of which to try as I am rather new to reloading for 300 WSM.

So I would appreciate from those with far more experience reloading for the 300 WSM and 180 grain bullets their experienced based input on which two of the fallowing powders I have do you think I should try.

My rifle is a 100% factory stock Tikka T3 Light SST/SYN with a 24.3" 1:11 twist barrel. The most accurate load so far is:
180 grain Sierra GK, NBT or NAB
67.2 Grains IMR4831
Federal 215M primers
Winchester Brass.
COAL is 2.663" max length that will fit and feed from DBM.

Powders I have on hand who's burn rate seams best suited for 180 grain bullets:
H4831sc<>H4350<>RL26<>AAMagpro<>IMR4350

Thanks for your knowledge,
Art.

if you look i asked the same question on 185's
the big answer was h4350
a great powder is rl26..it gives velocity without excess pressure.
it may give heat, but if it really is a hunting gun then 3 shot groups should be good.

Have a 300-WSM load that has worked very well in four Tikka T3 rifles. But it is with Berger 190-VLD's and H4350. If interested, send me a PM and I will share it with you.

retired,
I'm a bit confused did you mean for me to do a search? I looked back 5 pages and didn't find a posting by you as you described for 300 wsm, rl26 and 185 grain bullets.

it was 300 wsm and 185
but do not worry, h4350 is the answer for 90%, if you get a chance to try 26, do.

Look at RL 22 & Rl23. I use RL 23 in 2
different 7 Wsm, works real well.

Thanks for the input so far. I guess I will increase the number to three as my research shows H4350, H4831sc and RL 26 are yielding excellent results for to many reloaders to not give them a try. I would've love to have tried Hodgdon Hybrid 100v but again I've only seen it in stock 1 or 2x so and never more than 1-2 lbs so I never felt it wise to use it based on very limited availability. Only reason I'm trying H4350 is I recently stumbled onto and bought 5 1lb jugs with the intent of trying it out in my 300wsm and if I wasn't happy with the results I know I could resell it and recover 100% of my cost.

Thanks again,
Art

In the 1K comp world and the 300 WSM with the heavies it's H4350 /Fed 210's by a mile. Well, at least it USED to be!!

My best load with my Winchester Model 70 pure stock with a Barnes Triple Shock 180 was with Reloader 22 and a Remington Magnum primer. I got 3,025 fps and 1.25" group at 100 yds.
