300 WSM AICS Magazine Tips

I built a 300 WSM on a long action with the intention of using a 338 Lapua AICS CIP magazine. Any tips on getting this combo to feed? I'm told the magazine will need modification. Really hoping to get some advice from someone who has done this before I mess up my magazine. Thanks for any help.

Is your mag made for a long action or short? I'm unaware of any AICS long actions mags for 300 wsm

Yes. I use the .338 CIP mags for 300wsm shooting Berger 215's; it is trial and error for the feed lip spacing. Measured the spacing between the lips which works for me.
Back .4875
Front .510

You can buy the MPA feed lip tool or the HS precision tool (which has spacing guidelines)
Or if you are like me use a spent gift card (fold it over) and a pair of needle nose pliers and bend away.

Polish the lips after, i found the factory mags had sharp edges and would scratch the brass.
