168 Berger Classic Hunter, 300 WM Lapua Brass, Winchester Mag Primer, 3.340 max seating depth.
The Alliant site for R26 lists between 82.2 and 83.2 for bullets between 165 amd 168 grains.
I do not know the water capacity.
26 inch barrel (perhaps Hart), Ruger M77, Tang safety.
3.52 COL to touch the lands. I removed the striker and seated a bullet to touch. Lots of rounds fired thru my old rifle.
The magazine will only accept out to 3.340 COL. I thought perhaps the magazine might lengthen as the throat wore, but no such luck. Apparently, Ruger made the magazine to spec.
I tried 82.0 R26 and I got pressure signs ie. slightly flattened primer. Also, the velocity seemed a bit high at 3350 fps, 70 degress, 100 ft elevation.
I stopped after two shots.
The bolt lift was fine, the recoil was energectic compared to my 6br.
Could you please run Quickload so I can see some projected pressure and velocity projections?
Do you need any additonal information?
Thanks in advance for you help,
Chomondely
