I have decided to have Richard build a 300 Varminter for my new varmint rig. It is an awesome set up for it's intended purposes. I have some video of him shooting groundhogs with the 300 Varminter.

It will flip 12 to 15 pound groundhogs in the air at 600 yards and the red mist factor is like nothing I have ever seen. The set up is super accurate too. I have personally talked to a couple of guys who own a 300 Varminter. They said it is by far their favorite varmint rig.

One of the guys said he took his 300 Varminter on a Pdog hunt for the first time last May. He said the 125grn BT was awesome and provided the best red mist he has ever seen. He said it was flipping and tearing the PDogs apart even at 750 yards. From what I have read, heard, and seen, the 300 Varminter sounds like an awesome set up if you want red mist at long distance, even on the larger varmints.

Also, Richard is a great guy to work with. I would highly recommend him for any of your builds. If you decide to build the 300 Varminter, use a Nesika or BAT action. The custom actions will allow you to obtain the 4000+fps with the 125grn BT along with the 1-15 twist 30" Bartlien barrel.
