300 rum stock

I recently bought a remington 700 bdl in 300 rum. I set it up with a nightforce nx8 thinking I'd use it solely for any long range stuff. Problem I'm having is scope is to high for a good cheek weld. Seen ag composite is running a good black Friday sale my dumb question is the 300 ultra action the same as the standard long action 700 as far as inlet. I don't have any other 700s to measure was always more of a winchester guy.

I moved my Remington 300 RUM into a chassis. Just a Remington long action.
As always, measure twice, cut once. Measure your action screws and verify with the stock vendor.

It is just a long action on the outside, there are several differences on the inside. Isn't magazine box bigger?

I have the Remington SPS with the cheap plastic stock.
Glass bedded action and filled fore end with epoxy, chopped carbon fiber, micro balloons.
Barrel was free float but I think the stock flexed under recoil and bumped.
It does't now.

The Remington 700 chambered in the Ultramag family i believe are in a magnum length action, a little longer than the long action..i could be wrong but i dont think i am..
I would definitely install that rifle in a nice heavy chassis if possible. The ultra mags are tough to tame down ..i believe i burned out my first ultramag barrel just learning how to shoot it and manage the recoil..its hard to relax and allow the recoil to push you instead of batter you..hahaha..but when you know what comming once you touch that trigger off on an ultramag case..youll be crying for mommy...hahaha..
I could only imagine the scope eye a big nightforce would give..it would knock you out like a hit from Mike Tyson hahaha..
