300 RUM?

I had an issue with Retumbo that I thought was weird. I had some loaded ammo that worked well in hot Florida temps. About a year later I shot the same ammo in Tennessee, a little bit cooler and it was an over pressure. I had to come down 4 grains to get a working load. The powder was out of the same 8 lb jug. I felt like the powder had gotten hotter over the time between loading sessions?????

Thanks all. I just got the scope mounted two days ago and put 12 factory rounds through it to get zeroed.
I just loaded up 2 batches of 5 ea with different seating depth. 90 gr Retumbo and 210 Berger’s. It’s cool here at 25-40 dog so I will start there.

I saw pressure with 93 gr of Retumbo shooting 210 VLD.

I would think that RL-33 as well as VV N570 should be excellent powders for the .300 RUM with 200+ grain bullets.. I know Retumbo is awesome>>> the above two should be just as excellent..

Yes and yes. My current 300rum barrel perfers Berger 230gr and n570.
