300 prc with 180’s

Anyone have load data for the 300 prc with 180’s? I’m interested in the cartridge as a general purpose hunting round.

Use 300 Weatherby load data. Same case capacity and bullets. Start low and work up.

When I built my 338-375 Ruger, I used 340 Weatherby load data for a starting point. Was very safe and worked out great.

Ok, sounds reasonable. Did you find you got extra velocity with your 338-375 over a Weatherby due to a more efficient case design?

Keep in mind the 300 prc saami reamers are set up to shoot the 215-225 class of bullets.

My loads are significantly faster than what the manual lists 340 Wby speeds. I push a 250gr Berger at 2980 fps from a 26" barrel.

I cant say it is because of case design tho because I have never fired a 340 Wby. I may be able to achieve the same or faster speeds in the Wby because in my experience a belted magnum cartridge will run higher speeds before showing pressure signs.
