300 PRC load data

I jut bought a browning x bolt long range. I have 212 eld x ammunition I bought with it. What is everyone loading for this combo. All spec's and results much appreciated.

I haven't loaded for it yet but I would start with H1000 if you have any.

I recently shot six identical rifles in 300 PRC as part of a rifle project for my company. There were two distinct powder charges. N570/83 and H-1000/79 with the 212 ELDXs. All but one likes the bullets .020 off the lands, one likes them at .025 or .030--don't remember exactly.

Most of them liked the N570 load. Velocities were 2900ish give or take.

I had another one like N570/83.5 with a Berger 215 Hybrid .030 off. It gave a little over 3000 fps. All of these rifles had 22" barrels.

Start low and work up.

For mine Berger 215 hybrid over N565 3000 fps+ shoots very well even in Hornady brass. Haven't tried the N 570 yet.

I run RL 26 in mine. It really wakes them up . With a 26 inch Lilja 3 groove and Nosler 210 lrab cruising at 3124 now, after lowering powder charge after barrel break in. Never did check H1000 for speed , but by bullet drop at 600 new it was quite a bit slower and accuracy was better with 26 in my barrel.

Im running the 230 in mine with N570 and am really impressed with the consistent accuracy its giving me at 1k. Its a pretty full case, not sure if you can fit enough of it with a 210 but I would try it if you have some.

I pressured out pretty early with h1000 and 212 Hornady. I’m using n570 and 245 Berger’s now and 8133 with 250 Atips for target. I did have really good luck with LRT if that’s all you can find and speeds were spot on with western powders data

I have all the powder except n570. I have bullets ready for the range, but the wind is record setting in Wyoming this year. No real snow yet. Just 118 mile an hour winds.
