300 PRC and saami specs

Looking at the saami drawing I see the 300 prc has a loaded minimum length of 3.575 and max at 3.7.

This is interesting to me since Hornady is loading ammo for it. Typically boxed ammo would be 3.34 right? So I guess anyone producing a firearm chambered for this round will have to do so with a long mag box.

It's got me thinking about replacing my Kreiger 10T 300WM barrel with a 9T in 300PRC.

I have a 6.5PRC and it is really shooting well. Have shot that one out to 1,250 yards. Not even pushing the 140ELDM hard and it is 7 mils up from 100 yard zero to get center hits at 1,000.

I built a 300-375 Ruger which Ii believe is very close to the 300 PRC aout 4 years back and it shot great. But with the Nosler 28 cases out there I would just neck them up and shoot a 30-28 Nosler which would give room for a few more grains of powder. As I understand it the Nosler 30 is a shorter case than the 28 Nosler, if that was not the case I would have said just go with the 30 Nosler. I would have gone that route but the big Noslers were not out yet.

A little more capacity and probably better brass.
