300 prc 32"barrel lenght

Hi guys.
It is my first custom rifle.
I want to use it for shooting from 1000 to 1800 yards and sometimes it hunts up to 1200 yards.
I've been thinking about the rifle for a few months, caliber, etc.
In the end, I thought of a 300 prc with 32" barrel and 1:9 twist.
Thinking of shooting Berger hybrid 230gr or Hornady a-tip 230gr.
-What speeds can I get with a 32" barrel and vihtavuori n570?.
-Do you think that with a 32" barrel I would have an advantage in shooting the berger 245 or a-tip 250?
I had thought about a 300 magnum norm, but I don't see much of an advantage over the 300 prc.
Let's see if you can guide me a bit.
I don't want to be wrong.
thank you so much

I have a 31.5 inch 9 twist, I run 250 ATIP's @2820.
I have avoided n570 after watching my friends trash barrels in 5 to 7 hundred rnds. My barrels have gone about 1k using H1000 and 8133.

I agree on the N570. It will be hard on throats. You should be able to get somewhere around 3150 or better using it with 230s though. I think you will need to run compressed loads to get to the top end with N570. N568 might work better.

With H1000, you should be able to get 3000 in that length barrel and 230s. H1000 is what I would try first with Retumbo as a second.

Thanks guys.
Have you had problems with the clickers in the PRC?
Do you recommend another caliber for my purposes?
I had also thought about 300 norma magnum, 338 lapua...
I am open to other possibilities.
Thank you

I have heard of people having issues with clickers in the 300 PRC. My smith got a second reamer with the base 0.002" larger diameter and I have shot a couple rifles chambered with that reamer. No issues with clickers in them.

I am not sure what you are looking to hunt, but I hunt a LOT. Personally speaking, I cant see the need for anything bigger than a PRC in North America except brown bears perhaps. I shoot to 1,000 yards almost weekly and a mile + monthly and really don't feel comfortable shooting game over 800 yards. So my personal limitations give me the bias that the PRC is enough. I built my current rifle before the PRC and shoot a 30-28 Nosler as my LR hunting rifle with 215 hybrids at 3,000 fps. It obsoletely hammers whatever it hits. If I was building a LR hunting rifle today, I would go the 300 PRC route since it is the easy button, has better brass and is close enough in performance to what I was after when I built mine.
